What: WSP and North American Indian Center of Boston (NAICOB) are developing a walking tour of sites important in Indigenous history from King Philip’s War/ Metacom’s Rebellion to Native activism in the 1970s and the founding of NAICOB as an urban Indian community. We build on an AR app that a viewer uses to experience histories and performances of significant events in 3D featuring Wampanoag, Nipmuc, and other Native performers. Examples of stops on the tour include: Boston Harbor Islands, Faneuil Hall,Crispus Attucks/Boston Massacre site, Phips Bounty Proclamation/Old State House, Boston Common/The Great Elm and the MFA.
