Sing Out Strong is a multi-year community-based project in which we reach out to ordinary people in our community and commission them to write texts on activist themes that resonate with them personally. This season, we explore environmental themes, in anticipation of White Snake Projects’ upcoming production White Raven, Black Dove, which explores the impacts of climate change and race as a social construct. The community’s texts will be set to music to make songs which will tour Boston’s neighborhoods.

Writers from across the world responded to the prompt What does the climate crisis mean for your generation? The resulting poems, by writers ages 16 to 77, are being set to music by some of today’s most promising young composers.
