Yury Yanowsky’s career as a Principal Dancer with the Boston Ballet spanned over two decades. Yanowsky won first prize at the Prix de Lausanne and the Silver medal at Varna and U.S. International Ballet Competitions. Over the past decade, Yanowsky has had the opportunity to choreograph around the world. In 2015, he was awarded the Choreographic Prize at the prestigious Erik Bruhn Competition and his ballet Smoke and Mirrors was named “Best in Dance for 2016” by The Arts Fuse and hailed as a “visual and choreographic masterpiece”. Yanowsky has served as Movement Consultant for ART and as Movement Director for The Boston Lyric Opera. He is a frequent teacher at Boston Ballet and is on faculty at Harvard University.
