LINGBO MA, a recipient of the Presser Foundation’s music award, is a Chinese-born, US-based composer whose work has been performed in the USA, China, and Europe. She strives
for unique ways of reaching the ultimate simplicity and clarity while unfolding diverse narratives in her music. Notable commissions include works for the Dutch National Opera, National
Sawdust, Collage New Music, Tanglewood Music Center, and Aspen Music Festival. A Juilliard School alumna, Lingbo is currently a doctoral candidate in composition at the New England
Conservatory.
