Isabelle is an Environment Artist with a background in fine arts. She first started taking painting lessons at the age of 6, and has now been painting for over 15 years. Through her BFA in Game Art and Virtual Production at Lesley University she explored the intersection between worldbuilding and storytelling in her 3D work. She has always been inspired by the unlimited bounds of storytelling through exploration, and environment art has allowed her to tell these stories.
She is currently the Art Director at Studio Blue Jay, a small indie studio located in the Boston area focused on diverse and queer titles. She is in the process of helping them develop their debut title, Ghost Jukebox. The game has been showcased at Qweety Gamer’s ‘Beyond Pixels’ GDC mixer, PAX East, Play NYC, Boston FIG, Independent Games Festival, and many more! Isabelle is also on the board of Boston FIG helping run the experience team, planning quests and activities for each year’s convention.
In addition to her work in game development, Isabelle is a current Master’s student at Tufts University in their Art Education department. She is doing research to integrate game technologies into fine arts classrooms, and aims to promote the use of tools like Unreal Engine and 3D modeling software in high schools.
