Guang Yang

USC International Artist Fellow, a native of Chinese-born composer, Guang Yang is an award-winning composer of orchestra, opera, chamber, and multidisciplinary projects. Her music has been performed around the world in China, US, and Europe, and in music festivals such as Music Composition Class at Frebis University Berlin (2012, 2013) Etchings Festival – VCCA-France (2013), Atlantic Music Festival, Maine U.S. (2013), The Walden School Summer Retreat, and Shanghai Contemporary Music Week (2011). Her recent commissions include LA Opera Connects, music for Amy Jo Rhine of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the White Snake Project, and the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles.
