Francesca is a freelance bassoonist and contrabassoonist based in the Boston area. She has earned performances degrees from the University of Hawai’i, the University of Massachusetts, and Boston University and her teachers include Ariel Shultz, Paul Barrett, Stephen Walt, and Nancy Goeres on bassoon and Phil Gottling, and Margaret Phillips on contrabassoon. Francesca is particularly interested in music of the Twenty First and late Twentieth centuries and enjoys working alongside composers in bringing new works to life. When away from playing Francesca loves to be outdoors and is an avid runner.
