Edward Rippe, D.O. is a second year internal medicine resident physician at NYC HHC Woodhull Hospital and Mental Health Center in Brooklyn, NY. Halfway through his first year of residency, COVID-19 came to NYC inundating his hospital with critically ill patients. Dr. Rippe himself, became sick with COVID-19 but returned to work after 1 week due to necessity. Treating COVID-19 patients was a defining moment in his training and one that will forever impact him. Outside the hospital, Dr. Rippe enjoys an active lifestyle including going out hiking in nature, climbing mountains, snowboarding and traveling among other things.
