Belfast born pianist David McGrory began his studies at the age of four. During his career he has performed in the UK, Ireland, Europe and the US. In 2022, he performed at Carnegie Hall with Freda World Music. On occasion he performs with the Skylark Vocal ensemble and appeared on their Grammy nominated album It’s A Long Way. David also appears as a member of the Irish folk band, ISHNA. As a composer, his works have focused on solo piano and small chamber drawing on the influences of Hindemith, Britten, Ravel and the Celtic diaspora.

2012 saw the release of his debut CD, Beethoven & Bizet: Variations. His second CD, released in the fall of 2018, is a collection of works dedicated to those who gave their lives in World War I entitled Ravel, Debussy, Bridge: Remember the fallen. Currently, David is an Assistant Professor at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, and lives in Medfield with his wife, Laurie, and their twin daughters.
